Working with an agent
Working With a Licensed Insurance Agent in Palm Beach County
Here's how a review works when you call Palm Beach Senior Insurance. We help people new to Medicare, people already enrolled who want another set of eyes on their plan, and families looking after a parent. None of it costs you anything.
A licensed agent answers during office hours. If a bill looks off after you enroll, you call the same number you called the first time.
- Licensed insurance agents, reached by phone
- Your doctors and prescriptions checked first
- Free, with no duty to enroll
- The same number to call each fall

How it works
What a licensed agent handles
Every review opens with the same question: which doctors do you want to keep? A plan's summary can look great while its network leaves out your cardiologist or the orthopedic surgeon you trust. Checking before you sign is the only sure way to know.
Next, we run your medicine list through every plan we offer. If your current plan wins, we'll tell you.
Medicare sets its rules nationally, but plans build their networks county by county. Here in Palm Beach County, that means asking which plans include Tenet's Palm Beach Health Network, HCA Florida, Baptist Health or Jupiter Medical Center next year, and which ones dropped a practice you use.
Process
A free plan review, step by step
-
1
Call or ask for a callback
Tell us whether you're turning 65, already on Medicare, or calling about a parent. A licensed agent gets back to you during office hours.
-
2
We list your doctors and drugs
Your family doctor, specialists, preferred hospital, pharmacy and every prescription at its dose. If you see doctors in another state part of the year, we list those too.
-
3
We price the plans we represent
Network status for each doctor, drug costs, premiums, copays and the yearly cap, totaled across twelve months.
-
4
You decide, and we stay available
If you enroll, we handle the application. Either way, call us about a bill or claim, or for another review next fall.

Local care
Why local plan knowledge matters here
Plans sold in Palm Beach County don't all contract with the same hospitals. Before you enroll, a licensed agent should confirm that a plan covers the hospital you'd use, whether that's St. Mary's Medical Center, HCA Florida JFK Hospital, Bethesda Hospital East or Jupiter Medical Center. Veterans treated at the Thomas H. Corey VA Medical Center in West Palm Beach should know that VA care and Medicare are separate, and the VA doesn't send bills to Medicare. If you go back and forth between states, ask how each plan handles care away from home, because most Advantage plans end coverage after more than six months outside their service area. For free, unbiased counseling, call SHINE at 1-800-963-5337.
